I'd keep the danish wood frame color as-is and reupholster in a navy texture, something that feels a linen-y or has a little slub to it.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01022177372703741723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182127943217217846.post-70637628955231597112011-01-23T11:42:14.792-06:002011-01-23T11:42:14.792-06:00I dig it. Yes the upholstery is hideous but I look past that. You should see some of the crap I've picked up and restored. So are you getting it?!Rhan Vintagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16469580427714667535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182127943217217846.post-40932924891140658952011-01-19T17:00:18.902-06:002011-01-19T17:00:18.902-06:00If it didn't end up being a pain to reupholste...If it didn't end up being a pain to reupholster then I would definitely buy it, paint it and redo the fabric. My opinion, I don't like the Oak and there is something about the shape of the arms that I don't like. It's just not delicate enough. It's bordering on Early American or something. I'm not too put off by the upholstery or the upholstery job. I'd keep it.

If I bought this and I had a lot of time to kill, I'd re-shape the arms and paint the wood Satin Black (or ebonize it).

It is very unusual. So did you pick it up?Mr. Modtomichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16804031065414619749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182127943217217846.post-6333194290552247592011-01-18T10:57:38.306-06:002011-01-18T10:57:38.306-06:00I think you should run your hand across the back, ...I think you should run your hand across the back, there should be spindles/ dowels under the upholstery, if they have been removed, then I would forget the sofa. If the sofa still has it's spindles/ dowels then it is still going to need to be reupholstered; eBay shows these sofas running the gammut of sold prices from $300- $1300. It has "potential" but also a lot of potential costs.mooboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12754457491865032141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182127943217217846.post-18624109995430513022011-01-17T20:49:26.842-06:002011-01-17T20:49:26.842-06:00looks like oak to me, but personally...I just don&...looks like oak to me, but personally...I just don't see much in it...I'd move onUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02471728522214734000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3182127943217217846.post-4399706221171463152011-01-17T20:31:54.075-06:002011-01-17T20:31:54.075-06:00I think it's very cool.
