Sorry, I'm not good with computers , and still can't figure out the right way to link a post, but I will deal with that another day. Instead today I will be excited with our house tour on apartment therapy, and then get back to work on the found chair and ottoman I'm reupholstering.
(*update, I think I figured it out, where there's a will there's a way!)
Wow! Great for you to be featured..good luck with everything!

I loved your house tour on AT! That 29 buck sofa is to die for.

thank you so much! we use gel fuel in our fireplace since we like to move it around often, that way it doesn't have to be vented.I am excited to check out your blog, thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteGel fuel? like sterno?
ReplyDeleteI loved your tour on AT and stopped by to see more.
ReplyDeleteGreat meghan! Thanks for stoping by!
ReplyDeleteFound you via AT. Yay for STL homes! I'm live out in O'Fallon (MO side) or aka "The Boonies". I love your home! Kinda reminds me of mine with all of the thrift store finds. I'm a thrift store junkie as well. I think if I bring home one more piece of furniture, my husband might leave me! ;D
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind, can you tell me some good thrift stores in the STL area? Right now I hit up resale shops, the St. Vincent de Paul store in St. Charles and various Goodwills. I'm always looking for new thrift stores.
There is 3 thrift stores on Forest Park Pkwy, in St. Louis city, salvation army, st.vincent, and a goodwill. Then from there I go to the veterans trift @ delmar and grand. I also like the unique thrift on st. charles rock rd.There is a couple value villages which are pretty good. Sometimes the ones on forest park pkwy can be a little over priced, but its nice that there is three right there together. I hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah, I saw your home tour on AT. Your home is beautiful. I love the child size green chair-what a find! I could say that about most things in your home I think. We are moving from Texas to St. Louis in early June, for my husband to go seminary. All of your thrifting finds gives me hope of seriously improving my thrifting skills when we get there. We just put our 1930's house on the market. It is a one bath, which had to be remodeled before listing...the one bath reno was not fun-especially with a family of 5. It is finally over and we are enjoying it for our last month in this house. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi.
ReplyDeleteHi there! I too found out about your blog from Apartment Therapy and I have to say, your house tour is one of my favourites (and I admit to being slightly addicted to AT, so I've seen many, many...). It looks like the kind of house that has an actual real family living within it's walls, and has a unique style that is both commendable (repurposing/reusing/recycling is so fantastic, I'm in awe of your madskillz in that department), and maintainable - by which I mean it doesn't look like you have to move several decorative throwcushions in order to sit and watch The Office. You also have impeccable taste in colour. I salute you.
ReplyDeleteYay your style - I'll be adding you to my blogroll immediately! Thanks Hannah :)
