Lotus bowl

This is the new enamel bowl I found this afternoon at my secret thrift store. At .69 cents I scoured the shelves for it's mates and came up empty handed. I am very excited though, it looks like its always been on the shelf in my kitchen.
I believe this vintage bowl is Scandinavian and designed by Catherineholm, there isn't any kind of marking on it, so if anyone knows whether this kind of bowl has a stamp or not, please let me know.

  1. Hmmm....I kinda want to know about this "secret" thrift store. Please?

  2. The pattern name is indeed Lotus, and was designed by Grete Prytz Kittelsen for Catherineholm (a company, not an individual). These aren't typically marked, although some cookware in the line was.

  3. Wow, you got an incredible deal! I have spent a great deal more on my collection of these bowls. They are so beautiful and worth every penny.

  4. Hey scott, thanks so much for the input. I found that everything stated catherineholm, which I felt couldn't be just a name. I hate saying that anything is made by anyone, unless I see it marked. I have seen these bowls in many kitchens on design blogs and have admired them, but didn't know much more. thanks again
