Lamp Makeover

Just a little before and after. I got this lamp for about $3 from a thrift store. I used it for awhile as is, but wasn't happy with the color too much. I primed the lamp with a gray primer, and used a flat black spray paint,(I've really been into flat paint lately). I then used a metallic gold paint on the inside. You can't tell from the pictures, but instead of a regular bulb, I used small round completely white bulbs, so as to not take away from the gold interior.

I love the way it dressed up such a blah $3 lamp.

Cute little danish modern couch; St. Louis MO $40

I have a couch and matching chair that I got a few years ago for $8, and I considered that a deal. Furniture min this style is becoming a lot harder to find on the cheap, but I still think $40 isn't bad.

I think this couch is so cute with the original upholstery, but if it was redone in a simple textural fabric it would be perfection.
